AirportICE® Version 5.4.0 is on the ftp site for download by airports on a maintenance plan.  This new version adds SSO (single sign-on) features allowing the administrator to setup SSO for use with AirportICE® while still maintaining the applications much more granular user security features.

If you wish to enable SSO (single sign-on) you may do so with this and later versions of AirportICE® though you are not required to.  The software allows three levels of SSO functionality.

1.  No SSO - that is the software will have user security just like in previous versions of AirportICE®.

2.  SSO is enabled in the application but no users have SSO enabled - the software will display the user name used by the windows user but the password will be required as usual.

3.  SSO is enabled and one or more users have SSO enabled in their account - for users with SSO enabled they will not require a user name or password to be entered when running AirportICE®.

4.  As usual the SQL Server connection can be used with the windows account or a SQL account.
